Howdy from San Antonio, Texas—home of the Alamo. Here in Military City USA, there’s a taco truck on every corner, cowboy boots are commonplace, and the blasted heat nearly kills me every summer.

I’m Bethany Heinesh, a professional writer who specializes in mental health and addiction recovery content. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

I would like to extend a big Texas welcome to my very own teeny tiny corner of the Internet, known as The Place of Bethany. It’s just a simple a portfolio space where potential clients can see that I’ve got the skills to pay the bills.

As a United States Marine Corps veteran in recovery from mental health issues and drug and alcohol addiction, I know first-hand what it feels like to be enveloped in darkness and despair. I was a struggling, suffering soul for most of my adult life. Today, I walk in victory.

Consequently, I am inspired to create quality, well-researched, and/or first-person content for mental health professionals and organizations, addiction treatment centers, nonprofits and entrepreneurs, as well as print and digital publications.
